Visiting Researcher at BU
In the 2017/18 academic year, I had the great privilege to visit Boston University with two colleagues in the ECE department.I spent time with Martin Herbordt and his lab working on High Performance Computing with reconfigurable fabrics. My main focus during this time was looking at OpenCL, benchmarking for heterogeneous HPC systems, and learning what undergraduates can learn about HPC on their own.
I also spent time with Michel Kinsy and his lab working on architectures for agent based simulation on reconfigurable platforms.
While in the Massachussets area, I visited a range of schools and colleagues, and attended many wonderful talks at MIT, Harvard, BU, and Northeastern. The area is truly a meeting of academic elites.
